Welcome to our Institution

Lalbahadur Shastri Senior College, Partur, Dist Jalna is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. It was established in the academic year 1984, with the special efforts of the Honourable Late Ex. (MLA) Shri. Vaijnathrao Akat and later on it made remarkably progress under the guidance of Late Babasaheb Akat . Today the college is attempting to move towards excellence under the guidance of Smt. Ashabai Babasaheb Akat. President, Marathwada Sarvodaya Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Partur which was established in 1976.

Lalbahadur Shastri Senior College, Partur is imparting higher education to the students of this region with the motto “Success in science and scientific work come not through the provision of unlimited or big resources, but in wise and careful selection of problem and objectives. Above all, what is required is hard sustained work and dedication”. The college was opened with Arts and Commerce faculties 1984, but to keep pace with the growing demand and to develop scientific temper in the rural society, the science faculty was added to the college in 1993. The institution has received 2(f) recognition in the year 1996 and 12(B) recognition since 2008.

The leadership of the college ensures and maintains special interest in educational and social field. Adopting innovating changes in planning as per the demands of modern times, educational policy of University and HRD ministry of India. Institution is traversing steadily on the path of progress. The result of the college has produced highly educated individuals, i.e., Assistant Professor, Doctors, Engineers,Teachers, Police, Advocates, Talathi, Entrepreneurs and experts in educational, social and political fields.

At present, there are 46 permanent faculty members and 81 supporting staff members are working in different departments and administrative office. With this, the college offers three (03) U.G. courses (B.A. B.Com. and B. Sc.) and six (06) P.G. Courses (M.A. Marathi, M. A. Hindi, M. A. Economics, M.A. History, M. A. Political Science and M. Com) , which are run with the help of 13 different departments (Arts-06, Commerce-01 and Science-06). In our college  sixteen (16) faculty members are research guides, thirty nine Ph.D. holders and twelve faculty members are qualified with SET and NET. 

In our region, most of the students belong to economically poor and socially backward classes and are from rural as well as drought prone area. The college is responsible to develop the self-confidence and social awareness along with self-dependence among the students. For this the formal education programmes run along with co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Code of conduct for Students

  1. Students should arrive on time.
  2. Every student should carry the Identity Card which must have his/her photograph
  3. Ragging is banned on the institute Anyone found guilty of ragging and /or abetting ragging is liable to be punished as per the directive of the UGC and Govt.
  4. The institute prohibits political activities in the campus.
  5. Students are expected to spend their free time in the They should not loiter along the corridor or crowd along the passage.
  6. Talking and other disruptive behaviors are not permitted while classes are in session.
  7. Students must not attend     classes other than their own without the permission of the parent teacher or HOD.  
  8. Smoking and consumption of alcohol in the Institute or in premises or entering the institute premises, after consuming alcoholic drinks is strictly prohibited.
  9. Students should address faculty as Professor or Doctor
  10. be polite and respectful towards others, instructor and other
  11. If the teacher is absent, the class leader should inform the Head of the Department alternative

  1. The institute gives utmost priority for discipline and every staff, is bound to follow the rules and regulations of the institute and maintain strict
  2. Be on time for your lectures and Be punctual.
  3. Staff members shall follow the directions and instructions properly given Director and
  4. A teacher shall, at all times, be well-mannered in his dealings with the management, with other members of staff, students and with members of the public.
  5. Every teacher maintains integrity, be devoted to duty and also be honest and impartial in his official dealings.
  6. A teacher shall be required to maintain the scheduled hours of work during which he must be present at the place of his / her
  7. No teacher shall take part in politics, or be associated with any political party or organization.
